The Board of Management has carefully considered and approved the revised Housing Management Structure following a period of formal consultation with affected colleagues.
The Board recognises that the housing sector continues to face increasing financial pressures, greater regulatory expectations and growing demands for high-quality, tenant-focused services. Having reviewed the business case and consultation outcomes, the Board is satisfied that the new structure provides a sustainable and resilient model that supports the long-term interests of both tenants and the Association.
Throughout the consultation process, the Association remained committed to a meaningful and transparent dialogue with affected colleagues. As part of that process, two colleagues elected to take voluntary redundancy and those requests were accepted. The Board is grateful for the professionalism and commitment shown by all colleagues during this period of change and extends its thanks to those who will be leaving the Association for their valuable service and contribution.
The new structure introduces Housing Officers supported by an Operations Manager and a wider Tenant Support Team. The Board believes this approach will strengthen service resilience, improve business continuity arrangements, enhance tenant engagement and provide greater access to specialist expertise in areas such as asset management, finance, administration and lettings.
The Board is particularly supportive of the increased focus on business continuity planning. Recent events across the housing sector have demonstrated the importance of Associations being able to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, service disruptions and unforeseen circumstances. The new structure will help ensure that the Association can continue to support tenants and maintain services during such events.
The Board also recognises the importance of maintaining a strong tenant voice. Whilst employment matters had to be concluded before broader engagement could take place, the Association is committed to listening to tenants as the new arrangements are implemented. Tenant feedback, Tenant Satisfaction Measures and Tenant Liaison Panel activity will all play an important role in shaping future service development.
The Board would like to reassure tenants that the Association’s commitment to providing safe, well-managed homes and quality living for veterans and older people remains unchanged. The new structure is intended to strengthen the Association’s ability to deliver on that commitment by creating a more resilient, accountable and sustainable organisation for the future.
On behalf of the Board of Management, we thank our tenants, colleagues and stakeholders for their continued support as we implement these changes and work together to ensure the ongoing success of Agamemnon Housing Association.
