Facilities
Design of Flats
All our flats are specifically designed for the over 60s. A Scheme Manager is normally in each court during normal working hours to provide background support to tenants. All flats are fitted with Alarm Systems for use in emergencies. If more help is required, the Scheme Manager enlists the support of relatives and friends, or the appropriate Social Services Department. The flats are self-contained and comprise Lounge, Bedroom, Kitchen and Bathroom/Toilet. Floors are covered with tiles or cushion flooring. All are centrally heated and the systems vary from electric storage heaters, storage heaters with additional convector heaters, or radiators fed from a central boiler.

Each Court has a full programme of social activities from regular coffee mornings to outdoor barbeques. The scope of activities will depend on the court size, location and make up.

Barbeques – weather permitting of course! And many more events!
Wellbeing
Part of the Associations’ service to tenants is to address individual’s wellbeing needs. This is done in a number of ways.
- Firstly the Scheme Manager can provide general advice on local facilities and organisations that are available to tenants.
- Some courts have wellbeing rooms with a range of facilities including hairdressing stations, nail bar stations, massage tables and exercise equipment.
- We also employ a Wellbeing Assistant whose role is to provide a one to one service for any tenants that feel they would benefit from a bespoke service including: –
- A confidential service available to all tenants
- Free one to one conversation
- One-hour pre-arranged visits
- Help with paperwork (Blue Badge applications, attendance allowance forms etc.)
- Help with social activities and alleviating loneliness
- Or just for a chat!
